Shots fired!
Make sure to post pics of your build progress.
@LZ I need injectors, have any?
Trololololol
wtf is low boost pump gas… LAME saying and LAME excuses already
I turboed my truck in 2 days with a “bolt on” kit. And turboed the SRT8 jeep in 3 days with random pieces from different pieces and making parts / pipes/ pieces. No way a SHOP should take a week to install any “bolt on” anything. wtf, how does it take professionals this long to do this stuff esp with fancy lifts and specialty tools. I have jacks and a piece of cardboard with harbor fright tools =]
You’re not in it for the money. You do it for fun and sense of pride.
I’ve never dealt with a local performance shop, besides buying parts, but my guess procrastination. That and labor = $$$$
I looked at it this way having receipts from a well known shop will help resale value if I ever sell it.
They’re also very good at tuning stock bottom end cars they have hundreds of stock LS2/LS3 cars living at 700+ or 800+ RWHP that actually get beat on.
Hopefully after this I leave it alone and can focus on building a more drag oriented automagic car.
@maxwell I need an update on the cb450!
I replaced the worn roller guide (part of the trans carepack you sent) and buttoned the bike back up. Unfortunately I need to crack the bottom half off… as the roller didnt do the trick. The damn thing runs and idles like a top, but im still getting the false second, and 4th now too… its getting worse. I’ll have to tear it back down here soon. Maybe this weekend I can get started.
Question… while we are on that topic… I see no gaskets for the bottom end… should I just get the black circular seals, or should I be OK?
Fine I will run it TURNT UP
God Lz is so cool guys
so cool
I bought some 3M 1080 carbon fiber vinyl… Gonna wrap some sumabitches.
Interior pieces? post up how that turns out I was debating trying that on some stuff
Yessir, I’ve used it before but not on car parts. I ordered a 60"x24" roll so I’ll have PLENTY of it. I’m doing the radio surround/shifter bezel/gauge hood. I should have enough left over to some random bits here and there. I think I paid $35 shipped from Amazon.
Finally getting back to this pile.
Dan
save yourself headaches and buy a complete gasket set. and some honda-bond for the bottom cases. you can download the repair manual and FSM on hondatwins.com or sohc4.net

yeah I use some YamaBond on the OEM gaskets when I do the top end on my bikes
I told Maxwell to go with Honda-bond, apparently he doesn’t listen lol.
