Took some more weight off today…stupid crash beams
Are you still going to drive that on the street? I know enough people who have done that and been in small fender bender that really screwed their car up.
Yeah I’m still gonna drive it on the street. Might be doing a chromoly “crash bar” instead of the factory one. The factory beam is 33 lbs…
Ah a lot of people rip them out and run nothing
Breaking records this year? :snky: :snky: ??
I’m just going for better gas mileage hahahaha
crash beams are over rated !
i keep forgetting i still have a stainless exhaust. I want the aluminum but mine sounds good now that i welded on a resonator that i don’t really want to get rid of it.
I’ll have to hear one with a muffler/resonator in person to decide
More build updates!!!
I just glued a little metal together. Coldside finished tomorrow i hope.
Paul put the standard aluminum exhaust on his car and it sounds amazing. If you want me to I can shoot em a text and get a price on one for you?
Yea if you could id appreciate it. It’d be for one with resonator and muffler for jdm rear (don’t think that’d effect price lol)
Idk what one costs regularly but if it’s a good enough deal and if I can sell mine I’d pick one up for sure
Yeah my ass.
building this 1980 Yamaha XS750 Triple into a cafe racer to put up for sale when it’s done, group project with Checko and Pirite. This exhaust that’s on it is going bye-bye as we hated the way it came out, having tubes bent up to start over this weekend.
Once this is done, I have another of the same bike I’m building into a chopper for myself since I sold my XS650 bobber. Then I’ll get back to my CB550 crazy hybrid bike project.
Pretty much worked on the house first part of the winter, but now I’m getting the itch to do something awfully raw. Been looking at pre-'55 Chevys… chopped and flamethrowers?
I’ll let ya know shortly. The exhaust is probably half the weight of the Buschur one on your car now. I switched to mine from a Buschur and it was 10 lbs lighter.
Man weekend coming up - Welding some tabs on the rear end, prefabbing the brake-lines, cleaning/prepping/painting rear end, assembling rear-end with center section, axles, brakes, and brake lines. Removing remaining items from the bottom of the car, welding anti-roll bar tabs to car, scrubbing, scuffing, and rubberized undercoating the bottom of the car. Hopefully reinstalling the gas tank and new rear end into the car by the end of the man weekend. Then I can order wheels during the week as the fun parts of the winter project begin.
YES! If you find any good ones that you are going to pass on. Send the info my way please. The wife wants one.
 Post pics. You always do clean work.
Some good stuff on here for sure, I’m still trying to put a nightstand together I got about three years ago.
It’s hairy! Damn drive by moonings
Cool shot.
looks badass JD
