But I have steelies with studded snows I got from my brother in law before he moved to NC. Maybe I’ll spray paint my steelies an obnoxious color, it is a VW after all
ditto, tbss, awd, snows, heated seats, remote start for work… park in a garage at home. jay, did you mod yours at all other than exhaust? for me I thinking exhaust, e-fans and tune but having a 100% stock is peace of mind at times.
when I got a set of 18" saab 9-7x rims shipped with TPMS for 375 shipped, I then talked to a coworker that had blizzak snow tires from their wifes old car… 18" and one season on them. tire size is 0.5mph under off at 60mph. asking price for them, $100 for all 4. so, after mounting, I am in around 500 for winter tires/rims. its a pain to have to recal the TMPS but it only takes a few minutes.
No its still the same as when I bought it. I was going to go with plain black steel wheels but tire rack was sold out of them. I got a set of flat black 17" mb tko wheels from discount tire direct. Cheap and a decent looking plus being 17" tires are fairly cheap. I really don’t feel like spending more money so i’m not going to run tpms, I can deal with the light.
Its a pain finding wheels because of the lug pattern. Searched craigslist for weeks and either they wouldn’t return my calls or the wheels were bent.
there was a 1 month period I saw 3 different sets of tbss 20" wheels, for 500 bucks in roc. then I thought, how much are 20" snow tires. my saab wheels were from ebay, from a1a auto I think with a grade A, they had to have been take offs. searching for the saab 9-7x and 9-7x aero results were cheaper than other searches for the gmt360 wheels, sucks that bp is for that platform only. odd you found wheels from discount tire, when I looked there before I got my setup, they had nothing in that bp.

Studded Hakka 5s, bosch icon blades, fresh engine oil, and transmission oil for my A4.
Hakka Rs are on the wife’s impreza along with fresh engine oil, bosch icon blades, and front and rear differential oil. And new hubcaps cause last year she thought just steel wheels was ugly.
Next it’s getting the wife’s best friend’s car ready. Recently did new ball joints and tie rods and some decent used all seasons and found extra wheels. Just did a new air filter, wiper blades, and engine oil. Found her snows but the wheels they came on won’t work so I’m getting those switched over. Plus it needs a wheel bearing. I wish she had money haha. Or at least that I had a heated garage, or a garage that wasn’t full at least. I have 2 wives but for some reason they both don’t have sex with me even though I keep suggesting it.

Put the snows and roof rack on Saturday and heading over to my mom’s to pick up my Thule ski box on lunch today. Looks like not a minute too soon.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Driftmas : )
