Winter to do list: 2001 Audi S4

Ya tell me that after I buy a brand new one. Lol.

well WHEN that pump goes… which they all do you can find them cheap off the cobra or cobalt ss/sc forums… both use the same pump from the factory… gm sells them for like $300 ford racing sells them for $150

just a heads up… i would recommend you place that pump in a position where the motor is on the top and the inlet/outlet tube is on the bottom in a straight up and down position… the pump lays on it’s side in the cobalts/redlines and they fail all the time due to the internal seal going bad and having the coolant short out the motor… i’m sure chris knows the problem well with his cobalt as well, i’ve replaced mine twice now… bosche can like my nuts cause if it goes bad again i’m going over to an aftermarket one from jegs

same pump

much better pump

second pump flows twice the coolant with the same amp draw… much better use

Mine is original with 90k on it so it seems to have lasted a decent time. It actually still functions, just leaks coolant. I paid something like $125 from audi, so its not too bad.

I have no choice as to how its mounted because it just goes where it goes (under the intake manifold).

Where you getting the trans?

That one from woodstock.

Which one is that?

60k, mint.

Nice how much is that? Let me know if you need a road trip companion

why now ?

Clutch doesn’t disengage for some reason. Going to inspect the clutch, replace if necessary, swap the trans and a few little other odds and ends (gaskets, seals, etc).

bad slave?

We shall soon see

So maybe tomorrow I will make some decent progress on this pile…

Changed the afterrun pump:
