Alright, so who’s having withdrawal from their S-chassis already.
My vert is covered up in a barn a few miles away, and it kills me that I can’t even work on the damn thing. Sucks even more that people want to buy it now, and I dont want to get rid of it.
E-brake turns in my 03 Civic just isnt cutting it.
I love Canada but southern Florida does sound nice right about now.
Where is your car for the winter? Can you work on it? Are you winter driving it?
I miss my car a lot. It’s stored at a friends garage just chillen. Waiting for new wheels and kit and few other goodies. I wish I could drive it right now. I can still work on it, but it’s way to cold to do anything right now. No heat, no good. =/
Just wrapping up my Ka->sr swap in my single garage. Got to love heated garage but have no space to really work. Gonna push it out when snow clears to i can work on the other end.
mines going in for paint by the end of this month. those of you that have seen it will confirm it could use the paint. rompin around in a 99 chev tahoe 4 door 350 4x4. BEST BEATER
i decided a number of years ago that the money it takes to run a reasonable winter car is better spent maintaining an all-year car… my S14 in my case. ‘corrosion-free’ under coating (twice) and regular washes in the winter and it should be fine. the only rust i get after 3 winters was on the hood from stone chips… so i switched it to CF… graaavyy!!!
only reason not to drive in the winter is if the car is way to modded to do so safely. My s13 was that way.
as for working in the winter, i have swapped wheels and tires on my G35 twice in the last 2 weeks and done some mild work to my s14 as well. I do have a garage but there isn’t enough room for a car in there with all the other kids stuff, car parts bbq, tools etc. etc. so i’m half in / half out.
That’s a lot better than dropping differentials out in a parking lot laying on an inch thick layer of ice and snow in the middle of the night like we used to do 5-6 years ago.
I have a single garage too, I don’t know how you’re pulling this off. I figured I can do the swap on the driveway but there’s no way I have room my garage. pics?! if you don’t mind. I’m just curious lol
My S14 is sitting my garage parked…I miss it regardless of how shitbox status it is lol
Will, the difference between your garage and johnny’s garage is that he doesn’t have any other stuff around the car except for car parts which is at the back of the garage, so its not so bad but still a tight squeeze.
In my single I’ve managed to fit 2 lathes, a 4’x4’x4’ft welding table, a car, an air compressor, an English Wheel, 2 moderately sized tool boxes, tube bender, TIG and MIG (although both are less than 50lbs and the size of a small toolbox)… And a snow blower… And a still have a 3ft wide path down the middle, lol
Insert middle finger smiley lol
