Wiper help

What can cause a wiper to miss a bunch of the windshield as it moves across? The car in question is a 94 taurus and the blades are 1 day old. I don’t have the car in front of me right now so I’m just looking for ideas until it gets here later tonight.

Some wipers aren’t the same size on both sides. You might have one side right but the other side too large or too small.

Skipping blades like that have less to do with the blades themselves and more to do with the mechanism that operates them. It’s probably just weak ass old worn out springs on a 13 year old ford’s wiper arms. Make sure all the bolts in the whole wiping mechanism are tight. If they are and you still are bothered by the chattering then you could replace the wiper arms if it bothers you that much.
