don’t forget to factor in that this audi has speed sensitive wipers so the frequency will change for each setting depending on how fast you are driving.
I have noticed with my A3 that if I have rainx I can just run it on a middle intermittent setting and I’m totally happy with it since the water beads up nicely and don’t bother me.
It has nothing to do with your question, but I hate when people drive around with their wipers going at full speed when it is raining very lightly out. That is all.
Lady in front of me yesterday was doing this. It wasn’t really even raining, just some tire mist…a small amount. I could see her wipers through the back window going FULL blast.
I do rain x my windows often also, but I think the wipers work great with the rain sensor. I have it on both the bmw and the audi, I find it really annoying driving the wifes suv that does not have it.
on the right hand side wiper stalk, that little lever tab thing on the front of the stalk facing you, goes up and down and varies the intermittent function. It’s not high and low, it’s like 5 or 6 positions.
Sorry, I dont. step 1 with the variable speed all the way up is too slow by about a second. the next step up i’ve always known as “low”, its always the same speed, no adjustment. I just want the variable slightly faster.
I end up just hitting it manually for the most part. Looks like I’ll have to live with it.
There is likely no way to change this unfortuneately. Older cars (mid nineties and older) used a simple time delay circuit that could easily be changed by swapping out a counter or time delay relay.
Newer cars have programmed circuits with coded frequencies that often cannot be modified.
I literally no nothing about Audi but, if you can find out what actually controls the circuit we might be able to see if something can be changed.
