it wont spit fluid. just stopped and its not frozen. and my wipers only work on one setting not fast not interchange just medium. any ideas?
check the wiper fuse on the driver side foot rest area. the 5th one down the on the left is the fuse, change it and see if it works.
same problem with me, it works when it feels like, its not the fuse
hmm my car’s wipers work fine, but it doesnt spray any fluid…my friend said it is probably the sprayer motor, has anyone had to replace this before? is it easy to do? a quick plug n play job?
oh and does anyone know if the s13 240sx washer pump is a 12volt?
FILL YOUR RESERVOUR WITH FLUID!.. lol just kidding
most motor on cars are 12 volt…
as for the sprayer thing, check and c if the spray motor works or not, if it does unplug the fluid line, where it goes up to the hood, blow the line c if its claged up, or simply get a airgun and blow from the nozzle it should unclog the line
as for the wiper, is going to be either the switch or the wiper motor…
unplug the wiper motor and c if theres signal coming from the switch
ahh ok…i figured the motor was dead because i cant hear anything when i pull the switch…usually u can hear the sprayer motor running
simple fix , just switch the line from ur from front motor to ur rear motor, press the button for the rear washer fluid if it comes out the front then it was ur motor , if not then something else is wrong ie. mechanical
ohh, they’re separate motors?
No… he’s saying to switch around to see if the motor is the problem or the switch.
Buy a S14!! had the same problem with my old s13, Funny thing about it, the wipers wouldnt’ work when it rained… unfortunatly i sold the car faster then you could say ‘neutral drop drifter’ so i never figured it out.
As for your squirt problem, chek for power (with a freind hittin the squit button) at the motor and if there is no power, then replace the pump, there acutaly pretty cheap from nissan. i got mine for like 45 bucks
S14 or not, you might run into this problem eventually. (I myself have an S14 and the washer motor is dead i think, but CT sells them for like $25)
I had similar problem with my s14 - not sure about s13.
I could get mine going sometimes if I moved the washer pump wires that hang and rub near the right plastic fender where the washer pump sits. Eventually pulled into garage, tested with voltmeter, cut & replaced part of damaged cable, re-soldered, shrink-tube to keep from shorts, and tie wrapped so it doesn’t hang like a banana again.
hmm, yea i when the switch is pulled, it wasnt making any noise, back or front, my friend mechanic listened n checked while it was gettin an oil change…he says the motor is most likely dead…
the Canadian Tire ones are cheaper than OEM, are there specific motors for certain makes/models? or are they universal more or less? i’m gonna wait a few more weeks to swap it since it’s kinda cold lol…
