You need a Wifi card that can inject packets or it will take forever to get enough IVs to crack the wep key.

Download the backtrack live disc. Boot off of it, and figure out how to use it.
It works very well. Theres no network in my area that i cant hack, mainly since everyone is using WEP or TKIP. Combine a higher power router with a good antenna and a hot receiver, and you can pick up networks a mile + away, and then hack them if theyre encrypted.
Make sure you have a supported wireless card/chipset before you attempt this btw
Well, you could always run it on a $50 laptop, or get a $10 usb wireless card.

Now, I run WEP encryption at home, because my girlfriends old internal wifi card doesn’t work with WPA for some reason.
I have MAC Filtering setup, so would this even slow someone down from doing this to my network?
Or would they just clone the mac to another address connected to my router?
MAC Filtering doesn’t really keep anyone determined out…Its very easy to change the MAC address of any NIC card…
