Wiring Horn/S13 - Nardi Steering Wheel?!

hey guys, I’m wondering how to hook up my horn after installing an aftermarket wheel…i know most guys don’t hook it back up since laziness kicks in but I want it working for overall safety and random inspection risk reasons…

I haven’t been able to find a nice detailed thread on it, im sure many here would like to know as well. I have a 89’ s13 and it’s different than a chuki s13, I got three prongs sticking out from the face of the column after i removed the steering wheel.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

yeah id like to know this also, it would be nice to honk and shit.

you could always just hook up an external button for the horn though.

I would also liek to know, if I cant find out, wireless doorbell inside steerwheel + receiver horn cut out and wired to car horn lol

Gurpreet, post a pic.

I did mine with a Nardi hub and wheel. I trimmed everything to fit the “clock spring” inside the hub.

You say zenki is different. show me a pic so I can figure something out for you.

there are different hubs for hicus and non hicus cars, u have to make sure the hub is correct (both fit properly) just te contact points are different lengths

most universal kits ($40 in stores cheap as dirt on e bay) come with a seperator plate made of plastic on the inner sides and metal on outter side`s, then when you hit the horn the spark of current sounds horn.

ground + positive = BEEP BEEEP

Be creative and get some kind of copper metal piece and bend it and wire it in… that’s what I did… just make sure the hub you use has proper connection too… I had to sand my hub/release/wheel spacer/etc… to have a constant ground… otherwise no beep for you lol.

thick paper clip+ tape to column+ taped to groundwire= horn.

fuck that, just throw the doorbell under your hood and your good to go!
