Not to beat a dead horse, but the gloves probably weren’t a great idea.
Having worked in a cabinet shop for years I can sympathize though. A few years ago I took off most of my right thumb print on a table saw. It looked as bad if not worse than your injury, but in the end it healed nicely. Hang in there, it will heal quicker than you think though. I hope they can do something for your nail though. In the meantime collect those comp checks and get well.
