Working out west?

Come April when my semester is done, i would like to get away from things and possibly work out west for my 4 month summer. I’m sick of working weekends here…

I have heard mixed things about working out there, wages, living accomodations etc etc…

What i have heard is that resorts will pay for flight over, you get living accomodations… and decent pay…

I’m really not looking for a huge wage, i just want a change…

Has any had experience or know anyone that went out maybe last year to work … doesnt even have to be out west…

Any good websites that can better answers things? All im finding are ski resort employment and well i don’t plan to go out there till after that season…

Thanks,

Derek.

Where exactly out-west?

That’s what im inquiring about…

More specifically: BC, Alberta.

I just would like to know anyone’s experiences out there… actually establishments people have worked at…

I dont have alot of details, but my friend moved out there last year. Found a job the first day he went looking, decent wage, i dont know about them paying for flight over or accomodations, i know he drove there.

But he seems to be pretty content. I have thought about it too…

jesse is out there now in Banff, my brothers were in panorama or something… cousins worked at Chateau lake louise and shit…

it’s all gay and leads no where… if you want to have a decent time it could be alright, but it’sa deadend career, finances and family-wise.

in calgary they pay $21 per hour to work at tim hortons

cost of living is very high tho

lol nice avatar peter

they don`t pay 21 an hour my friend lives out there minimum is 9-9.75 an hour and they usally pay 50 cents to a dollar more then min.

Yeah i wasn’t looking for a career, just a seasonal job for 4 months well im out of school.

Found the site my buddy was going to apply to,

To any one that is interested…
