Would you like to SEE how UNIONS affect overhead costs?

Doesn’t look that bad to me. I guess it depends on what kind of revenue these guys can generate. I don’t understand how the employer is only paying $100 per week in taxes for 2200 in payroll. That doesn’t seem like it would cover the employer’s ss contribution, unless that would be part of the “benefits” number.

When I was in operations for a union shop, we had a contract billing rate just under 80 and a burden rate of just under 60. We did just fine. We offered a premium service and charged a premium price. We could have found cheaper labor, but we needed reliable high quality output.
EDIT: They were only paid in the high 20s/hr.

The UAW is unique and gives good unions a bad name.

The thing about unions that bothered me was that the lazy sack of shit who did terrible work earned the same rate as the guy who always went above and beyond. The only equalizer was who got laid off first.
