WTB: 240sx w/ABS driveshaft ASAP

need this for a vlsd swap… MUST be with ABS as it is physically shorter which is what i need, anyone???

If you just need to make it shorter you can always take the driveshaft to FleetPride and they can shorten the one you have.

They usually get our stuff done in a day.

^^^

Good option

why you getting a vlsd? get a clutch

You got $700 to throw around for a clutch LSD?

WTF ??!?!??!?!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!

I think i just took 5 days off my life reading this post and shorting out my brain.

basically…a vlsd is ~150 bones

then why not weld? it will hold up better and be more all around functional

:picard: Unless you’re a hardcore drifter, which I’m pretty sure Jay is not, there is no need for a welded diff. I think you need to read up some on diffs.

i read the whole thread atleast three times

http://www.kaazusa.com/introductionToLSD/introduction_To_LSD.htm

You fucking morons need to just answer the question posed in the thread not make other suggestions…there is a reason he needs what he fucking needs so shut the fuck up about it already.

wow, yea what kyle said

and welded diff sucks…have you ever driven one or even seen on in person? i don’t want to hack my car together thank you very much lol

ungh welded diffs for street cars are haggard… doesnt suit jay.

if an s13 shaft will do you can take the one out of my green parts car at teh S1DC shop for whatever amount of $$$ you want to give me. car as ABS / Hicas

pm’d you bing

fwiw, i helped someone put a vlsd in with a non-abs shaft without issue

the abs one is under an inch shorter right?

Any of the Nissan guys ever go one-piece? Fleet Pride made me up one for the Corolla for $125, had it back in less than an hour.

nevermind, i’m just going to have one made at fleet pride … no one can confirm what actual driveshaft i need and i’m not going to deal with getting the wrong one lol

yea, thats the issue, but since i’m using an s13 vlsd into an s14 apparently i can’t overcome that difference by just “forcing” it in there. they say some cars will have enough slop in the mounts that it’ll fit, but mine does not

from what i’ve found online, the s13 and s14 rear sections are identical (abs is shorter than non abs though), the front sections are different . and since i have an s13 sr, i assume i can use an s13 abs driveshaft, but then comes the question of will the center mount bolt up onto the car in the correct spot? not feeling like playing the guessing game at this point :stuck_out_tongue:

so my car is haggered cuz i have a welded and drive on the street?? maybe you shoulda bought a diff that fits in your car. stop being gay and swap the guts into your s14 diff housing or get a one piece made.

your a drifter, i am not… go weld your diff i’m not telling you not to, all i said is I’M not welding mine. don’t see the issue here, and if you read my posts you’d notice that i already stated i’m getting a one piece made :gtfo:
