WTB: R200 Limited Slip Diff

All I need is the carrier to install in my car. The R200 diff came in S13s, S12s and Z31s as far as I know…possibly other cars. I’m hoping to pick one up ASAP so please let me know what you have. Thanks

Matt

Remember you need a longnose for a drect swap. S13 is short nose. S12 Z31 R31 are alright.

So the internals of the S13 diff won’t swap in? Shit

The internals may as in the viscous unit itself. Although to me that’s more work than it’s worth.

Actually yeah. All that I will be swapping in is the carrier. I will just bolt my stock ring gear to it. Doing it that way I shouldn’t have to adjust backlash afterwards either.

If you pull out your stock ring gear you will have to at least check backlash. If I remember the ring gears differ between the two with the size of the bolts holding them to thier diff cage. That may be the biggest reason to go longnose.

You’ll have to do side bearing preload too. You should do a pattern check to to make sure it’s meshing properly. Anytime the pinion gear and ring gear are taken out/replaced, you have adjustments to do.

EDIT: Make sure it has the same amount of teeth too. You need the gear reduction. And watch for timing marks as well. It may or may not have any. Back in the older days, chances are it will.

So would a Z32’s fit properly?

What kind of diff’s did they use in Z32’s

No, they use R200V in n/a and R230V in TT,
