This is the z I am going to be selling or if you want cool gm project I have a 86 fiero and a 99 gtp motor that I am selling for cheap. It would be a fun swap.

there is and 83 datsun 280zx on craigslist 600 bucks
http://buffalo.craigslist.org/car/410053238.html

hrm.

out of the cars you’ve listed, i don’t know if any of them would be fun or cheap to mod. from the little i know, the best candidate would prolly be the 240 - at least parts avail kicks ass.

old starion? pfft… i dunno. it’s going to be redic slow, and even if you do mod it - who makes parts?

mkIII supra. i dunno, see above.

for the mr2 - they aren’t that cheap, unless if you’re looking at a beat NA. they never sell for too cheap.

a datsun z? maybe. i don’t know, man. love to see him get into an inexpensive, mod-able import - but for all of these you’ve listed, i guess i’d have to say 240. i try to keep in mind that if he needs parts, great to be able to readily find them. there’s a ton of those things out there, and they’re not Too too old.

ide sell my civic for 3k. its a great fixer-upper and already turbo’d. its not rwd, but its a cheap, simple car to work on and have fun with

hes 16, he doesnt need a lot of power. he wants somthing fun and these are cars i feel he would have fun with. i never said they would be cheap to mod. im looking for one thats cheap to buy. dont nit pick me.

i mentioned civics / other fwd cars to him and it didnt really seem to interest him.

that 280zx might not be too shabby if it actually runs / drives. thanks.

Yeah Id say go with a 240 since they are like a dime a dozen compared to all the other cars you posted.

It is a 1985 Porsche 944 auto
107k on body (nice condition) and a 88 944 10:1 80k engine ( new head gasket, timming belt, balance belt…ect runs nice) Just put it in. Looking to get $4000 B/O

Chik,chik burn!

LOVL

you are severely limiting the search for rwd vehicles by only including imports. If he wants rwd fun for cheap go with a fox bod or f-bod and call it a day. Slow = not fun.

beat me to it… parts are cheap and abundant. They’re easier to work on (or less complex) and are easily made faster. Although how quick of a car do you want your 16yr old nephew to be behind the wheel of?

a mustang or fbod seems like a no brainer
