Fat chance, but just wondering if anyone has a coilover setup for an 88-91 crx and looking to sell them. I am not looking for an aftermarket strut/spring combination, so don’t bother. Thanks…
Depending on what you want to spend, just get a set of Ground Controls, and be done with it. Why bother with shite, unknown rate coilover junk.
i don’t want to retain the stock struts. I want something fully adjustable.
When did you get a CRX?
Well, you aren’t going to get anything worthwhile…unless you want to get spendy. I’m referring to junk JDM crap that people lust over.
What type of adjustablility are you interested in, and for what purpose? The reason I ask is there is a WORLD of difference in terms of advertised adjustability and real settings. Ever take a look at a shock dyno?
i’m looking at the omni power setup. i’m looking for a coilover that can be comfortable for daily drivability, but can be adjusted for different duties such as drag racing and road racing.
Spring rates will determine actual performance and comfort, the damper function to dampen spring movement. There are only two things to adjust on a shock rebound and compression rates. Omni calling thier junk coilovers 32 way adjustable or whatever os nonsense. It have been proven time an time again that virtually all of those adjustements do little or nothing.
They have large amounts of crosstalk (rebound adjustment making changes in the compression rate and vice-versa),
adjustment is not linear and irreproduceable, meaning that the same setting is different depending on if you can to that setting from a soft or harder setting. Each click or whatever should make a uniform and linear change in either rebound or compression, not both.
Shock dyno’s be very prestigeous teams have shown that companies like Tein, Zeal, OMni, FnF, D2, Skunk2, etc all suffer serious issues. Worse than that each shock in a set of 4 will have different ranges and adjustment points. Basically the only companies that can be trusted at all are Moton, Penske, Bilstein and Koni.
