i have the kit but its only for hitachi without the 78FK serial.
gotcha I’ll have to think about it before voiding the warranty since it technically isn’t my box.
no specific order on launch drives, some had the samsung also.
but most were hitachi. I got mine a year after launch, came with the hitachi
Damnit… I got mine last night and it’s the Toshiba drive. I was really hoping it would be the Hitachi so I could get beg buickgn for help.

was just released for testing last week, what i have is essentially the same cept u gotta open the case to upgrade firmware on mine. I might get the blaster just to not have to deal with the case again.
yeah, im really lazy and i know that i would never wanna take the thing apart to upgrade
once its done its done tho, the basic image is perfect, i have no need to reflash my drive unless another better one comes out. Im still gunna pick this up tho
