I was saying that the changes have to be done on a BGP ISP router and not a Home GW. :frowning:

AOL != Proxy anymore

BGP is a protocol not a type of router

Hehehe,

You don’t need an big router, I can do bgp on windows, or linux if you want. It would make no sense for me to do it, and i would need an approved CIDR block, but hey that’s only money hehe…

so you could just setup a subnet at your house… run redundant routers and redundant internet connections so that the gateway is always availible and then just jump IP addresses… right?

i know this bgp is normally used for e-commerece shit so that if the link is killed or a router dies, the company has a solid internet connection.

it would result in mad $$$ to have a fully secure untraceable IP address(es)…

but i don’t know much about the interweb… i just normally play with domains… vpn and websites are as deep as i really go… router commands and running t1 lines…

:dunno:

BGP has nothing to do with untraceable ip’s. It’s a routing protocol used to load balance and pick the best available route for your traffic…

It’s very tweakable, sometimes providers have shorter routes to your destination than other providers, some routing programs even though you have two full t1’s will slam one T1 cause of better route distribution. Well BGP allows you to weight links and helps you load balance across the two links .

It’s a very in depth protocol and can be a REAL bitch at times, I’m not an expert at all on BGP routing though.

BGP is a dynamic routing protocol used on the internet to exchange routing information between autonomous systems… BGP is the preferred routing protocol between internet connections and from what i know a bitch to administer…

networking class is fun… bgp mean i think border gateway protocol???

we just did this a few weeks ago

BNC/Proxy is the only sure way… I sure regret saying BGP at all. You are all assholes :o

yeah… i know it has nothing to do with not being able to trace IPs… like i said i knew online businesses use it so that if one line goes down, the traffic can be routed around and there won’t be a breakdown in the flow.

i just thought that if you set this up at your own house and spent the money, you could just jump IP addresses and not be on one for too long and be sort of ‘untraceable’

.
