That was one of the decisions i had to make fizzle. I could have kept the line or went the path i did.
Here is my thinking when the line was there to make the flare distinct it didn’t match up with anything. It did not line up with the top body line or the line created by the rear bumper or front bumper so i chose to blend it out cause it clashed
When I started this whole sideskirt project well over a month ago I knew I had a long arguous journey ahead of myself. Little did i know how much my idea wouls change and how much work I had ahead of me. Idk know how many nights i spent fitting this here and fitting that there. Sanding down this imperfection and cutting that spot.
Now here they sit primed prepped and ready for paint. I am hopefully going to test fit them in the next week or so before painting them. I’m afraid to lol…scared they are going to be warped or not fit in some odd way
Just ordered tires for the front. Going to run 205/40/18 this year versus the 215/40/18 I ran last year.
Did some research and the 205/40 will have almost the same diameter as the 235/35 im running in the back. Sidewalls should be the same-ish height ( nonexistant). Nick is going to have fun stretching these on in the spring lol.
235/40 on a 8.5", it’s actually a perfect size for those wheels. However, I’ll be stretching 215-225 most likely. And probably 225-235 on the rears (9.5")
idk, stretching those wont be bad if you have the machine that mounts tires. they have compressors in them, all you do is dump like 120 psi into it all at once and it pops the sidewalls out. sounds like a gunshot when youre standing near it, but its done in a snap. no pain in the ass stretching required. just POOF, done.
I will be running appropriate sized tires on my appropriate offset wheels in order to maintain the highest possible standard of safety for Spring 2010.
Skeeve I had 235/40 in there rear all summer last summer. Its really not much of a stretch at all on the 9.5
Also don’t forget guys my front wheels a super fail status and only 18x7.5 so a 205 is not even stretched.
I was trying to find some 19x9.5 sportmax/xxr 962 to run on my rear this year but all the companies that had them left in stock (19" is discontinued) wanted $170 + $60 shipping for each wheel
