double post.
There are some Wegmans level stores here in Houston most are comparable or nicer then Tops though. Unless you’re going to the local Fiesta and even those aren’t that bad. Kind of like quality markets.
I had some LoLs.
Not that I’m from Buffalo but I disagree with this.
Wegmans > Pretty much anything else around the country that I’ve seen. I’ve lived in 3 states and have been to 21 total and haven’t come across anything like Wegmans.
People make claims about Whole Foods but in my opinion Whole Foods fucking sucks. I couldn’t stand shopping there when I lived in Texas. This is why Wegmans is gaining market share in the rest of the northeast (MA, MD, NJ, PA and VA) . Right now they are starting to expand in Massachusetts and taking away market share from Shaws and Market Basket with just one store.
Damn double post lag.
Damn, I fn suck at the internet…
…when there’s so many completions to the sentence you can’t honestly pick one.
Trader joes is pretty awesome, but I don’t think it has the selection or really the quaintness of wegman’s…
This place rates wegman’s as #1, but all I did was skim and post. Unsure what criteria drove it:
Tops is a real average grocery store. Some of the Krogers or the big publix stores are pretty nice, and depending on where you are they have full liquor sections inside them. I have yet to find a grocery store on par with a new wegmans.
You think the characters on the Saturday Night Live “Da’ Bears” skits eat lightly.
You ever played “armchair urban planner” by saying “all of Buffalo’s problems would be solved if Main Street was reopened to cars.”
and uggghh…
You would consider voting for a tax increase to pay for Rich Stadium improvements, but you complain loudly about “all my hard earned dollars” funding such luxuries as the library system, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Buffalo Museum of Science.
LOL.
Wegmans is definitely nice. Trader joes and whole foods are pretty nice as well. As backward as Buffalo can seem at times, it like everything, has it’s charms and many times it depends on your upbringing.
Oh wait what were you saying again?
…when you call it “the 90” or “the 290” or “the 990” and so on and so forth…no one else puts the “the” in front of it…
You know your from Buffalo when you tell everyone how great it is, but have no real reason.
zing?
you’re*
… You have been out of there for 1 /12 years and traveled across the country. I run my own store now and would have never done this in Buffalo because of your culture in WNY.
I have a customer who is a Psychologist and he put it best “Living in WNY is like commiting suicide twice.” Between the snow, taxes, corupt politicians, no jobs, a society that breeds stupidity, teachers who get cosmetic surgery at the tax payers expense, a phantom Bass Pro Shop, the most anoying women on the planet it is akin to hell on earth.
WNY has had a declining population for the last 40 years and is living on its past glory. In 80-100 years Buffalo will be a ghost area. The leadership in your area will make sure that no progess will be made. The largest employer in WNY will be SUNY at UB and when that money dries up bye bye Buffalo. The demographics of your area does not reflect the rest of the world nor does the religious ideology that controls it. When HSBC began pulling out it should have a big red flag to get the )(*$ out.
WNY is not going anywhere if you want a future get out and see the rest of the country.
Karl
Dear Karl, fuck off
sincerly, everyone
LOL ^+1
Doesn’t NYS control taxes, corrupt politicians, and the teacher’s boob jobs? Buffalo has the most annoying women on the planet? Based on what? And if you don’t like snow…stay out of the northern hemisphere.
Why … answer would be prefered. Or don’t you like hearing the truth. Go put your rosecolored glasses and and keep drinking from the punch bowl. BTW I did fuck off at the Mustang Ranch and what a good time it is was.
