Hey. My car won a trophy once.
The best way to learn how to operate a clutch is on a dirtbike or, if you’re TDILOGIK, on an atv.
:lol
It’s how I truly learned. I didn’t just get into a 24,000 car with 9 miles on it and slip away.
Thats the other thread, jerk. Thanks.

1986 F250 302 4 speed, lifted with big tires.
It was my fathers and was in mint shape. He drove me to the bottom of a big ass hill and said put it in first, give it some gas and lets go. 1st in that truck was a granny gear, you could jump off the clutch at idle and not stall it. First attempt I made it into 2nd fine… half way up the hill he yelled STOP!!! Then in the middle of the hill said try 1st again!
That poor old truck!
My first manual car was my 1988 Honda CRX si.
I learned how to drive a manual transmission car on my buddies fathers 95 Dodge Ram.
1991 Honda Prelude si
The first thing I ever tried driving standard was actually a 1957 Ford dump truck (like this one):
It was our old, old plow truck; previously a town/highway plow truck- was a 4-speed with 2-speed electric transaxle. If nothing else, you have to know how to double-clutch.
taught my self on my 89 jeep cherokee
LOL my first standard was an 05 hyundai accent. fail.
+1, early-mid-90s is win. BMW is win.
But don’t quote me- check my 325 factory brochure page 15, which says: ACHTUNG!! Es ist nichts mit zu ficken…
meaning “DANGER! It ain’t nuttin’ ta f#$k wit”
…
By the way, my first standard car was not a BMW so no need to go into it, plus I already replied (oops)
