your luck vs. paypal disputes?

I just ended a dispute. I payed for a service that was not provided to me. I was told to DIAF by the company. Paypal stepped in and I got my money back. Just save any and all conversations between you and the other party if you can.

doesn’t matter, I had the same thing happen, including an e-mail telling to to create a dispute through paypal, did that, forwarded everything, paypal told me to shit myself… wish I had used a CC.

they do…

if you are a seller and a chargeback is issued, there is NOTHING you can do to avoid getting hit…

i had somebody issue a claim on me saying i NEVER shipped their product… i posted the fedex tracking # for it… with a signature and paypal still approved his chargeback… sayign I had to deal with fedex… who was like WTF he signed for it… sorry you get nothing…

AWESOME

speaking of shipping… ya know how paypal gives you the option to print shipping labels? well i set up a UPS account to ship directly through paypal, which was working fine and dandy, until an issue came up. I had a buyer give the incorrect address, and he wanted it redirected. I called UPS and got the total, buyer paid to have it redirected, called up UPS and they gave me some garbage that since it was through paypal they are “limited” in what they can do, and could not reroute it. in my experiences it seems like alot of companies just like to use paypal as an excuse as to why they “can’t” do something.

I don’t know what people are talking about, it is a common scam for a buyer to open a dispute and chargeback with paypal, even after the money is out of the sellers account. They will debit the associated bank account.

Never pay anything with a paypal balance, always fund it with your credit card, if shit goes down paypal is a joke. If you fund it with your CC they don’t play games like paypal, you’ll get your $$$ back as long as your in the right.

Paypal has so much hidden shit in their “buyer protection” it’s a scam, there are limits and like 2 disputes a year last i checked.

I use paypal to process the credit card transactions for my business. They’re cheap and the system works well. I have not had any issues until recently when an international buyer issues a chargeback and I’m out almost a grand on the deal. Paypal has let me access the funds as I guess these take a while to work out but we’ll see what happens down the road…I’m sorta doubting I’ll get to keep the money.

But yeah, don’t worry about pissing off paypal. It’s not like if you enter a dispute they’re going to close your account. Chances are they’ll side with you as they usually go with the buyer for whatever reason.

is there a time limit on this? i just realized i ordered something for 20 bucks through paypal just over a month ago and never got a response or anything. should i just do a charge back or try to call paypal today and file it?

I believe it’s 60 days.

i used paypal for a deposit for an sti i bought way back
i found out some bad things with the car and didn’t want it anymore because he lied about the car
and the guy i gave the deposit to wouldn’t refund my money
but i called paypal and they refunded the credit car the $500 i used for the deposit

update… paypal declined to help because they don’t back the quality of good, only that they arrive.

my VISA card had a different opinion and now I have my money back.

the moral of the story here is ALWAYS PAY USING YOUR CREDIT CARD ON PAYPAL

yes, especially since they try to tell you not to over and over when you try to switch… hrm i wonder why… .maybe because they are exposed?

yeah youll be fine with that chargeback. paypal always fucks the seller and sides with teh buyer. had a paypal account go into collections for that. they couldnt do anything since theres no associated SS#, so who cares, they just called my parents house a lot until i made them switch to mail correspondence only.
