anyone ever use one of these with a turbo’d civic??
"These Zoom Sport Compact Stage 1 clutches are recommended as upgrades from stock applications in front-wheel drive cars with minor “bolt-on” items such as intake systems, exhaust mufflers, exhaust headers, etc. "
i wouldnt try it. stick with the big players. ACT/CM/Exedy etc. i have an ACT 6 puck sprung with ACT Extreme pressure plate in my car now. SFI certified, holds 400+ ft/lbs, and is basically effortless to operate.
SOHC kits are like $300, DOHC are like $350 on ebay.
I wouldent get a puck clutch for a d series…
ok joe what u recommend
i used a zoom clutch in an RSX type S believe it or not it worked really well. the customer was happy with it. it ended up being cheaper than a factory replacement. i put that clutch in over a year ago now.
if its nicks, that car see’s less miles than the mustang, so it isnt a fair review
i wouldnt either. and im not trying to say i know it all, or knock your opinion, but the only reason i suggested it was due to the username “boosted93sedan”. leads me to believe its a turbo d, which could produce enough torque to destroy a stage 1 clutch
just my $0.02
no it was a completely stock daily driver.
oh ok
