I thought that maybe a trans go or other shift kit would be a decent band aid for a 4L60. They work good on 4T65HDs, but junk is junk. I trust your opinion over mine. My 4T60 always shifted nice but I know they hate to be driven hard. That’s why I fixed mine with a junk T56. LoL.
Some one here once upon a time did go low 12s with bolt ons and a big stall. 3000 is very mild, good street converter. If ya wanna get more serious 4k is where the LS1 wants to be.
Side note. My 4L60 shifted nice until toomanycamaros bought it and it wouldn’t even move his car
ya i forgot to mention it had the c6 rims on it, but other than that eibach springs and the Slp exhaust its pretty stock. I do use it for a daily driver over the summer, and do have some cash to play around with it soo once i get it outta storage its game on
Big negative that was a great converter. I bought it that loose. That was probably the best mod I bought for that car and spent the most on it. No tci junk. You can get a tight or loose converter in a lot of sizes. That combo went 12.0 at the track so I wouldn’t say shit about how it was set up.
plafs car felt great when i was in it , thats why i wanted it lolol . a conv is a major piece that nedds to be bought with care . t.c.i works great at the track and thats it . good converters arent cheap as a lot goes into em . my first one was a grand and it worked great at all levels . my new one was 1500 as it has anti ballon plates billet hub and carbon lockup clutch . like i said before its tight enough as i can leave from a idle . get a vig , edge . those are the only 2 id recomend
2 weeks ago we got hit with a un expected bill that cleared me out. I just sold my wheels to recover and im trying to scrounge up some more money. I dont want to screw paul so im trying to pull shit together as fast as I can.
my income is cut inhalf for the winters which is just enough to cover my bills, and my other part time job is gas/food money pretty much.
Im contemplating some PLAF e-bay header jump offs and a 150 shot. No money for this turbz thing. Maybe someday. I don’t give up easy. Just procrastinate
Well not to sound like a dick, but it was broken when I removed it and I didn’t really beat on the car that hard. So while it may not have been “cheap” it wasn’t high enough quality for how you were using the car. Either which way it doesn’t really matter, you setup the car the way you liked it and I have a slightly different path in mind so the big converter went in favor of a stock one.
