87 Trans-am down, 94 firebird in works..

Well I totaled the 87 trans-am - once a clean car now just a pile of $hit…
Thanks to the guys at JJ’S for a decent transplant firebird… Gonna transplant the 406,t56,narrower 10 bolt and 7730 ecm wiring to the 94…
Awaiting craddle/headers currently, then pretty much soon as running will be off to paint shop - found a guy to throw some paint on cheap…
Not sure about color yet, either keep it white or go Red or Silver… Kinda leaning red right now… Any input?

Hope it to be back in the 10s in the new shell… gonna look just like an LT1 with the mini ram intake with exception of distributer…

good luck on the project…and i vote any color but red

red on the head like dick on a poodle.

post some pic’s of the 87.

sucks to hear glad to hear the powerplant is being revived in another shell

Keep it white! Should be awesome to see a 406 in a fourth gen.

x2:boink

Id paint it silver, white sucks!

Either color is fine, just post some pictures…

Well that does not make decision any easier, lol
So far , anything but red, red, (2) white, silver,…

Noah: I have lots of parts for your cars including windshield wiper motor mentioned in your one post… Also have a 82 factory fiberglass hood for Z28…
As well as a brand new cheap VFN cowl hood for trans am.

medium quazar blue on the 94 good luck on the transplant man that was a mean 3rd gen.

cool project. best of luck, make sure to do a projects thread

So what happened to the old one? I saw a decent looking white one when I was at JJs up top, that one? Mine white so I vote no to white, just too plain on these cars, did t-tops to help offset it some.

how are you gonna get a distributor to fit? definatly post some pics.

Thanks Guys,
Will have pics soon… The distributor should fit, just have to install engine with it on…

Sucks about the old TA(what color was this car?)

Good luck with the new one

Here are pics finally of new car before paint, after paint and wrecked thirdgen…

Looks awesome!!!

You still have the old Trans Am? Plan on parting any of it out? What color interior?

Nice, i was wondering if the 87 was familiar or not as I used to live in Elizabeth. Car still doesnt ring a bell lol.

i like the red color. should be a nice ride.

I’m pretty sure he is older than us and was friends with Bear’s older brother.
