i don’t have drifting experience with diffs, but my coupe is a 1.5 way ATS Carbon diff and my S14 is a Tomei 2 way so i do have alot of driving and grip experience with both.
the 2 way is alot noisier and a pain in the ass in parking lots.
however, when i was out on the track at Watkin’s Glen or even on the street taking ramps or long curves i REALLY feel the 2 way. It suits my driving style very well and because it’s more aggressive than the 1.5 way it takes less effort to get the rear end to rotate or to break the rear tires loose… i like that. we’ll see how it goes in winter.
in my coupe the 1.5 way is great for the track, more gradual rotation so it never snaps me out when i get in too hot and try to adjust.
bear in mind though that my cars are set up very differently but both are fully aligned, height and corner balanced with good tires… i am sure that the alignments and tires have a major impact on the car’s feel and i dont have the experience to really disseminate the impact.
