1 cylinder spark?

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what kinda solutions are there for one cylinder spark, only one cylinder works the engine runs, but only one cylinder.

i have much to ttroubleshoot still ,but its quite the learning experience, ps, there is a smaller hose alfter the throttle intake, where would it go on the engine, mines kinda hangin there… i kno im losing some air somehow…

That tube connects to the intake manifold. It has to be connected or your engine won’t idle worth shit. IT HAS TO BE CONNECTED. no way around it. There should be somewhere to connect it inbetween the intake manifold and the runners, right where it is heading in the pic. It will probably be hard to spot as there is very limited visibility in there, but you’ll find it.

Also, on a side note…

If your going to be up’ing the boost, you might want to get rid of the green mushroom intake filter. I have heard sooo many storys of the engine sucking those foam inserts into the MAF or worse…into the turbo. Just from what I have heard, not personal experience.

I am one of those stories.

old hks foam filters on a gtr. shift into second car dies. Get out at light and pop the hood. Filters were sucked in about 4 inches and luckily the mafs had the metal mesh on them. Not a cool thing at all.

It connects to the Idle Air Control Valve not the intake manifold. It will connect to a gold coloured pipe that sticks out by the throttle body.

hey guys i’m sorry ,wrong tubing, its the extra tube/hose coming off the stock 3’Turbo intake that houses MAF and the filter.I hope maybe that someone could help, dunno where it goes?? looks like the same size as the circled red in pic.

lol btw thats not my car, just reference pic but i was actually going to get the green mushroom in the future, not anymore.

Tnx

oh yeh the hose looks somewhat liek this, but this is off a DSM

Are you talking about the intake pipe between the turbo and MAF?
I think you are, and after the MAF there are 3 things connected I belive.
-one tube is for the vented gas from the BOV as you are not supposed to vent to atmosphere on vehicles with MAF’s unless you have a tunned ECU or SAFC.
-one is the vent for the pressurized gases within the valve cover I belive.
-and there should be a vacuum line there too.

Hope that helps!

If it’s turbo to maf, that hose runs up to your valve cover (the t that is in it, and, then into your oil separator or whatever it is called (black can attached to valve cover) which then runs down into the block.

as far as your 1 cylinder spark goes… aside from checking all your wiring which you did already right? you dont have shorts to ground anywere, check each individual coil… there should be 3 connections if im not mistaken… one is your primary winding, one is ground, and the other is your secondary winding… do a continuty check, between primary and gound, and secondary and gound using your ohm meter… i dont know what the spec is for the resistance, but there should be resistance… one winding should be low, like 5 to 10, and the other should be higher, around 1000 to 12000 ohms resistance… if the coi is burnt, your meter will read open, and that coil is pooched!

something that can be very under rated, is connections… wiggle that massive connection that has like 100 wires on it (pcm, ecu, ecm, whatever you want to call it it should be under your left side kick pannel) cus sometimes when i mess around with it, and it comes loose a little bit it runs like shit… i tighen it down more, and everyting runs like a dream!
