I think you are way too nice of a person either that or you can’t afford to pursue this legally or something. I would be livid if this happened to me and standing for that kind of bullshit violence would NOT BE AN OPTION. I would completely destroy the guy’s life legally if I were you.

Hahaha he ruined his own helmet when he whacked it on the car. (The inner foam crushes on impact even if the shell doesn’t collapse.) Next time he crashes he’s going to brain his damage.
Did someone threaten you about pressing charges?
Actually in my eyes you unnecessary escalated the situation by slowing down and blocking the biker in. In most states if you entice someone to do something bad you are also at fault. In this case I’d clearly see you BOTH being responsible for this action.
Was the biker wrong? Humm Idk. Think about it if you were him. I’ve been in this situation before. Traffic moving slow, you go to change lanes and the guy in front of you does to. You think to yourself, FUCK. Then this guy slows down and blocks you in! I thought about punching faces in for less.
You didn’t have to box this guy in.
He didn’t have to toss your Iphone off a cliff.
He also didn’t have to punch your face in.
Will you box someone in again? I’m guessing no.
I had something similar happen to me on a couple occasions. I wasn’t driving in either, but you have to try to diffuse a situation, not make it worse. What if this guy had a gun? Is boxing someone in worth your life?!
here is another somewhat similar incident i was reading about…
exactly i did nothing illegal, however if you look at it from his point of view i may have pissed him off pretty badly and maybe he was already having a bad day… then when this all happened he may have snapped and just went craziness on me… but if you were him and you snapped on someone would you want them to press charges on you? probably not, yes what he did was wrong, but what i did wasnt right. im just glad he didnt run into the back of my car and get seriously injured or die.
o and about the civic never being the same again. cosmetic damage bother me alot, but it still drives perfect. shit happens i will survive

x2. I admire the compassion. You just don’t see that anymore. I would have a hard time myself. Especially if I contacted him and he apologized and didn’t continue to be a dick.
He is only apologizing now because he’s calmed down and realizes he could lose his $100,000 bank account if you sue him. Go for it.
JK. Don’t sue him, but I think charges should be pressed, that’s pretty severe what he did to you.
