1959 wood boat restoration

Just amazing. Well done.

Jesus, great restore, super solid work!

Wow that’s amazing work!

Wow that’s beautiful.

Looks great

I’m floored. This is so freaking cool.

It’s weird, time seems to kinda stand still when working on this. I think that’s why I’m going on 5 years now…it’s turned into an escape of sorts and I almost don’t want to finish it.

There’s a section of wood that once was bolted onto the rear of the hull, I’ll clean this up and mock it in place, but I don’t foresee any additional paint work going on. I know many boats run a water line, but I want most of the attention to go to the wood up top, let the hull reflect the water. There’s also a piece of stainless that runs vertically at the rear (shown in rendering). I have that all polished up, haven’t made a decision on whether I’ll re-install that or not.

This project looks awesome. Every time I see a wood boat I think about how I want to restore one. And I’m not even into boats but old wooden boats look so freaking awesome!
