are you OG enough to remember this car?
i do, what a turd. siiiiiiick auto level 57653 auto trans and 500+whp!
yea i do actually… sucked from the first day i saw it years ago
I am interested in getting my wheels re-painted, any ideas?
Keep the stripe. Drop the car. Paint/powdercoat wheels or get a nice set of aftmermarket.
Anyone here that could help me install my boost gauge and a pillar? I should be getting it the next few days
You really shouldn’t use pillar gauges on a car with curtain airbags. If and when they deploy you’re gonna get some gauges blasted at you. If its not too late, you should check out the vent gauge like I have: http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shared/part_detail.cfm?PMaI=1&PMoI=4&PEI=6&PP=s4_27t_interior.cfm&PPT=Interior&IL=CenterGaugePod
vent gauge ftw!
Didnt even realize it had curtain bags, Anyway I can keep the guage and somehow just buy the vent replacement without the guage or do they have to come together
:wierd
i see your a noobie. Nothing wrong with that, but you might get blasted on here.
yes you can keep the gauge it self. the outside dia. of the gauge itself (not counting the bezel) is usually a standard size. What gauge do you have, make and model. 99% chance it will fit without issue.
the pods are marked with a cutout dia. match that dia with the gauge and slide it in the pod. :thumbup
Got the gauge, installed it, works perfect no problems or leaks, but one question…how much psi should stock k03s push? Mine reads 12-14-15 psi on WOT no lie, unless you have to adjust the gauge and about for the negative side it reads about -15 regular driving…Or if i even have k03 turbos?
Welcome, another s4 owner! That sounds a little high for stock ko3s with no chip. Is it steady at those numbers or is it spiking? 15 in vacuum is about normal.
I agree with everyone else, lose the stripe, drop it, get exhaust and gut (piggie) your downpipes for mucho fun.
Here’s mine as of today (pissed I realized my phone somehow got set to lowest resolution):
Nick, you’re selling your car!?
I really dont think its spiking haha i mean its prett sensitive when i hit the gas, i could take a video today and somehow figure out how to get it on here, btw nice s4!
Any ideas on brands for a cold air intake?
yeah, K&N panel filter like AMD said. and cut the bottom/outboard wall off the lower airbox.
So you think it would be better just to get the panel filter? And cut the bottom and top off the airbox?
did i say top? no i didnt.
you cut the bottom, below the filter to allow air to get in. you cut the BOTTOM FENDERSIDE ( or outboard :crazy) and the FRONT BEHIND the headlight
and yes, itll work just as well, if not better and it wont be hideous to look at. nothing looks more out of place than a “cold air intake” on a V6 audi
agreed.
Got it.
