Ok a guy I work with has a 2001 I39 which has a non working sub in the rear deck.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this set up? It is a Bose system with two amps I believe. One for the door speakers and one for the sub.
I am assuming if it is the amp that is blown, I should be able to wire in any aftermarket amp correct?

What would be the best way to test if the amp or sub is bad?
Thanks guys

a multi meter set to ohms will tell you if the sub is blown or not. I wouldn’t suggest putting an aftermarket amp on the factory sub, its probably gonna sound bad if it even works for more than a little while. aftermarket amps usually blow factory speakers. pm me if you need more help
… not to mention getting a signal INTO that amp. the Bose systems in many cars use strange balanced-line-driver / odd voltage or low current signals from what I remember aka you can’t just clip it and throw on RCA plugs and call it a day.
I thought if it was a low current signal you could? I’m not entirely sure though.
