I was coming home from work and smelled gas through my ventilation system. I think it was gas atleast, it might have been something else burning though. I turned the air pressure up all the way and the smell obv. got stronger. It is in my garage right now and doesn’t appear to be leaking anything. I looked under the hood but didn’t see anything that appeared to be leaking/wrong/broken. My car drives perfectly but i def. need it to be checked out.
Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be. (fuelpump)?
there was a TSB on some subarus that had a fuel rail leak during cold weather, that might be it.

edit: see this too!
thanx dude, i will check tomarrow when i got to the dealership(obv.)…i saw this when i was checkiing out the internet…
get to the dealer soon, Chucksters car burned down from this.
A lot of people received a recall notice for this including myself, but I take it you didn’t. Not only is there a TSB for this, the dealer should fix it for free so you’re in luck.
Basically the fittings on the fuel rails leak when cold and fuel sprays right on the engine block.
sounds safe to me
hell yeah, thats scary. did subaru have to replace chuchsters car Don?
i guess i’ll see what west-her subaru will do monday when i take it in. i’m def. not going to drive it until then.
