Every season, there is talk about Koivu coming here. I guess he’s about 99% signed on with the Wild. He had to “sleep on it”. I’m guessing the addition of Havlat may seal the deal for him.

Samuelsson, Fedotenko, Koivu, Kovalev, amd Beauchemin are all expected to be inked today.
None of which the Sabres are a contender for. Rumor has it, Beauchemin was slightly grazed over by the Sabres but with the Pens looking for depth after loosing Scuds and Gill, it’s very probable that they will pick him up. Hmmm, the Sabres or Pens? Tough decision.
I don’t think we can afford Beauchemin, Ide love to have him but I don’t see it happening, there is some speculation of us going for McKee though.

In regards to McKee, I’m afraid that if it was going to happen it would have already. Regier can’t afford to wait (literally), everyday that passes…the market shrinks and players stock goes up. It’s the same reason Koivu is most likely holding out.
