heyy guys is it possible to build a 1990 KA24E sohc engine to obtain 200whp? I kno that would require lots of bolt-ons and stuff … Im guessing u cud use the dohc head with sohc pistons as a start for a higher compression (increases to 11.1:1 i believe correct me if im wrong) and then what? better injectors? timing? camshafts? ECU? MAF? throttle body? headers? exhaust?

There is a guy on Zilvia that is making 350whp on a N/A KA24E IIRC
He fabricated his own custom ITB’s and throttle body. There’s a whole 4 page write up on it and such if your interested. Just search “ITB’s” or “N/A KA”

Yeah highest I’ve seen is 230ish for a KA24E. Note though, those things rev like honda B series.
The guy on Zilvia/FA is just around 210-220 I believe. He’s shooting for more though, and it sounds unreal. Good luck making a streetable motor like that.
well ive been thinking about that idea for a while now … but what would be better to do … have a sohc block with a dohc head or grab a ka24de engine n replace the pistons with ka24e pistons? id love to have my engine go 200-210 Max … how much would u guys think it wud cost for something like that?

instead of having ITB’s, can u go thru a shorter route like having ur block ported and polished, headers, camshafts, jwt ecu, higher compression (like forged pistons), intake, flywheel, steel/aluminum driveshaft all on a KA24e?
You still need ITBs if you wanna hit those numbers. It’s a very heavy build to get that power out of a KA.
if you have the money, go for it…if you are on ny sort of budget, just go SR… more power, for less money
