200hp Na Ka24e ?

yeah ls1 swap

You’re gonna need overnight parts from Japan.

that guy that ran the 11 quarter mile did that with a n/a ka, assisted with something more then pump gas and another gas…honestly the money you spend to make a n/a any motor, you can probably spend 2/3 the amount and make more then 120% the hp, also with a nice tune…you will get better driveablility and also reliability . Best bet is to get power to weight ratio’s and build off that…people think a k20 built n/a civic runs low numbers a n/a 240 can…and it cant, not with the ka…your looking more towards the vg,vq ect.

boost is your friend. nothing replaces displacement my ass

so whats the point

go sr

its the most reliable and chepest way to go

ive had a t3 ka-t set up it was fast and kinda reliable

now i have a sr… its faster and WAY more reliable. i can go weeks without poping my hood wich is KEY when u track ur car

just a quick reminder, a ka, hitting 200 or so hp…probably cost just say, i dont know so im going to ball park this, 15,000. Bottem end, bearings, rods, pistons, crank…ect. Head, Cams valves port/polish…b/s…
take this to just say a simple drop in sr20det, 15,000.00 will give you way up into the 500+hp range…WITH more reliability and drive ability. Do the same thing you would to a ka to a sr,2jz,1jz,fj20det,ca18det…ect your gunna be at HIGH numbers.

also i know this is not about the best power you can get from a motor, more about the power you can get from a ka, I would just advise go ka-t or another platform before wasting too much money.

they all want to be different

they think its cool to go ka-t or na built ka because its different

i know 2 people this summer not including myself… martino and samson that were ka-t for less than a week and hated all the problems

martion went rb with NO problems

samson went sr with NO problems

myself went sr with NO problems

we all track our cars and have had NO problems

you ask any one that has gone ka-t what number ka they are on or how many problems they have

chris st john is on his 13th or ka

vlad crown has been beating the piss out of his sr for 3 years with NO problems

id like to see a ka-t do that

i LOVED my SR.

i tracked it hard after a week of putting it in.

clutch kicked that muther fukah like no tmw.

i miss it =((((

PS: if i could do it again, it’d either be 1jz or an SR.

i missed it when samson had a car too, when peter had his kat, i remember seeing his hood up alot at Shannonville. With the SR, i dont remember it ever having problems.

martino’s i dont even remember ever seeing when he went kat. But i’ve seen his rb alot and it sounds strong.

lol because martino blew it up in one night

you mean 2 hours?

less then two, but who’s counting anyways. btw this is about n/a ka’s!!!

my KA took a beating like no tmw.

completely stock with even a stock intake and huge amounts of blow by.

pulled like a hero!

It’s been my dream to build an SOHC motor like that.

But the parts just aren’t really out there. They ARE, but not easy (or cheap) to obtain.

It’s hard to do, and very expensive. But if it get’s done… watch out.

The people that do NA builds are not doing it ‘to be different’. People that do something to be different, are usually immature. Things that are popular, usually have become popular because they work well, note the sr and alot of people driving them reliably, because nobody wants to waste money…

The reason someone does an NA build is because they have money and they want response. Low end response is key in most forms of motorsports.

The best option for you if you want to build a KAE, is to have a turbo on it, with some internal/head work. Some higher lift/duration cams, solid lifters (if u can find them haha, and solid springs (again, good luck finding them). That way, you’ll have some serious grunt in the low end, and as soon as that turbo is spooled, you’ve got some mean power through the entire, or most of, the powerband.

Season and I still rocking the KA POWER.

^^ Yes team china!

I love stock KA-Ts with a T25 or T28. The only problem is reliability. It’s all a learning process though. You eventually learn that KA-t will give you more power for less money but it’s not worth it. Just go SR or stick with a stock ka.

A high hp NA ka24 will cost way too much money. More than all of you here can afford. That’s great if your dream is to beat a stock SR.

Hell, give me the $10,000 and I’ll make sure you beat me in a race. Save yourself all the labour.

Vlad is currently racing on a block I gave him. The same block I beat on for years at over 400rwhp.

So the legacy of that SR motor is Alberto drifted on it for a few years in like 2002, I took it from 200rwhp and tuned it to over 440rwhp and drove it for years, now in '08 Vlad has raced professionally on it for most of a season.

There likely isn’t another SR motor out there that has seen that kind of abuse…and it still wants to rip some more. Oh…stock block folks.

yea, i see what you mean. But no, im not trying to be different, and I’m not trying to flame anyone. I’ve done my research, and I’m trying to understand more. And personally, I just enjoy the KA. Its personal prefference I guess, If I were to do anything else, I’d probably go CA. I still dont like SR’s … but I guess I will come to appreciate them eventually.

lol and the only reason vlads original sr went was because of a bad greddy intake manifold
