2012-2013 Ski/Snowboard Thread!

There was some random reporter on last night in Denver and snow was falling in the back round. Tis the season. Yay!

Agreed! And I’m READY for it!

Snowbird has announced Nov 17th as opening day weather permitting… if things keep going the way they are, they’ll be open.

Going to have to dig everything out and do a tune up on my board.

very jealous. Still working on March. I’ll be finding out what the best week works for my buddy out there. Like I said, I’m planning to ride about 4 days out there. Seeing as it will be the end of the season around here, I should have my legs worked in by then and ready for longer riding. Might be trying to do other things to be in shape for the several riding days.

I think I am finally going to make it out west this year. Planning on going to breckenridge for 3 days in early Feb

I’ve been trying every year but something seems to happen that costs me $1000+ to pay for. (fixing a car usually) I say every year I’m going to go. Ive been saving this time and think I have enough side cash to get it done. Hope it finally happens and I know if it does, I’ll have my camera, video cameras as well.

If you know anyone out that way, of can ship things… I’m almost positive, you should ship your gear ground with ups/fedex instead of flying with it and paying a higher amount. They could hold it at the depot where you would ship it to, till you picked it up.

Just ordered a 158 Burton Restricted Custom! $380

I thought they have been dead since Zumiez carried them

Your legs aren’t going to be the issue… LOL. It’ll be your lungs and your riding style. Oxygen at 10,000’ is a lot different than 700’. It’ll take you a few days of riding just to get used to the altitude.

Just fly Southwest; snowboard/ski gear fly for free as long as it’s one of your 2 “free” bags. I’ve never shipped my stuff, always just checked it as part of luggage.

Planning the yearly ski trip just got a little easier, I just took CA, CO, NV, OR, WA and NM off the list of places to trickle my money down to.

My flights are booked for flying into Denver in early Feb. YESSSS

Ill be going to Stratton this year. Only about a 6 hour drive.

I’ve got all my stuff out; now I’ve just got to drop my board off for a tune up… and wait for the snow…

You can now partake in pot smoking while out there. lol

Last year I bought all new gear with the exception of my two year old board/bindings and I didn’t even go once. Year before I made it to holiday ~20 times. Hopefully this season we get some snow so I can get out there. Anyone buying season passes again?

i have one for kb. i only go to HV when there’s a big enough group, or when it’s BOGO

Aspen already has a cannabis bar.

Last time it was just you, me, Newman and your buddy. Not a big group at all lol.

Be cool to do an NYspeed meet to Holiday Valley this year. I’m curious to see how everyone rides/skis

I’m in

I do the Sunday pass every year at holiday.

I’m out! :stuck_out_tongue:
