Mud boarding kicks ass! Its still a little early… let not get to down in the dumps yet.
I was out yesterday again… Sat dumped almost a foot and a half at the resort I normally go to (Brighton).
Was great until my calves started cramping to hell (which they still are tight and sore as fuck).
Fully booked for Breckenridge in February. Woo hoo
Looks like my planning for Killington is pulling together for the end of January.
Nice. Still trying to come out my way in March?
other topic - I had a shop do a tune-up on my board pre-season… whatever wax they use, SUCKED. Was gone in a single day of riding, normally when I do my own I can get 2-3 solid days before I start noticing “I’m getting a little slow”. No more work at shops other than if my board needs a base grind. I hit that powder on Sunday, and it was like hitting a brick wall, my board just would NOT go through it nicely.
Going to be looking for flights in the days following. Hopefully I can get something to work out.

- the moment you’ve all been waiting for: OPENING SATURDAY 8:30am to 10pm with 3 lifts, 4 slopes, $45 8hr. lift ticket… details to follow on what lifts, trails etc shortly #winterishere #openingdayHV
Its not much, but its at least a start. It will create a base as well once people start packing it down.
oh I’m sure it will be plenty packed down already
I’m curious how many people will be there for opening. I know I’m not, not worth the frustration if its like the one year I went to opening day.
KB was making this AM again, they don’t have much of anything unfortunately.
Sidenote: Jackson Hole has had 12 feet already.
Having my board inside my car last year saved it from getting destroyed when I landed on the roof after flipping. lol
My board is the last thing I’m worried about if I roll this vehicle
I would be worried it cutting my head off.
Yeah, I know… same. more of a joke situation.
I was and still wonder how I didnt get hit in the head from it. It does make me want to get a rack for the top now.
The rack keeps the base of the board cold too. You won’t get that sticking feeling on your first few runs down the mountain while the base and board cool down from being in the car. Get a rack yam!
not worth 45bucks lol. last year opening day was like 24$ wtf
it sucks it’s supposed to be 50* until christmas during the day it seems
Yeah, I’ll have to look for one. I usually take my board out the second I get there and throw it base down on snow.
Next week is showing mostly mid to low 30s. Looking better for next week actually. By next weekend, they will probably have a bunch of other runs open. I know they are really shooting a lot to get sunrise open and usually tannanbaum as well. As long as the conditions hold up over the weekend, expect more by next weekend.
hopefully i can make it next weekend then. i couldn’t yesterday or today because i worked =/
We’re getting pounded out here… 2’+ in 24 hrs at some resorts, and it’s forecast to continue steady for the next 3 days. Looks like it might be a good season this year.
