2014 Autocross Schedule

This sounds awesome but I don’t know if I want to keep burning through tires. Lol

Is there any information where I can find what class my car would be considered and what type of restrictions/safety equipment I’d need to participate?

Thanks!!

Looks like I’ll be in the “Street Modified” because of my cam. That kinda stinks but should be fun anyway. I am seriously looking forward to this!

Sure thing…I’m ready to get rocked in the Street Prepared Class. LOL.

WNY-SCCA event 1 @ Ralph Wilson this Sunday May 18th.

If you want to drive regestration closes @ 9:30 (get there earlier to walk the course a few times), be there between 11 to 3 if you just want to watch and check it out.

Here’s to hoping for no rain this Sunday. Although a rain event could be fun.

Sunday should be clear, although only in the 60s.

Once again I’ll have no heat in my tires.

Bump.

Anyone on here going to the next event? I’d like to give it a whirl although I’m not sure how well my car will like it considering it doesn’t hit full boost til like 4k-ish. Anyone know roughly what the average speed is at Ralph for a similar caliber car(Turbo Miata) and novice driver?

next event is June 8th at RIT and you get free entry if you attend the novice school on June 7th.

I saw that, not sure if I can make that one, that’s why I asked about Ralph…

I’d like to hit one of these this season also. I wouldn’t worry about the boost. I actually think it could get you into more trouble in some cases. I know it does on mine. I thought I had posted up videos I took last summer…for a point of reference. here’s one for ya:

Over generalization: You’ll want to try and stay in one gear the whole time 2nd or 3rd if geared lowed. 30 to 60+ mph.

For a size comparisson Ralph vs. Chapel Hill:

I have 4:10’s out back, it would be nice to stay in 2nd the whole time.

Only a handful of drivers are actually fast enough to usefully need 3rd on a local course.
