1993 240sx
recent things done:
-fuel filer,
-plugs
-wires/cap/rotor are new-ish.
Car will start fine when its cold, but once in a while it will just crank if it is warm.
Any Ideas?
idle air control sounds like it may be sticky.
does it run fine after u have the no start problem?
its not consistent at all, sometimes it starts when warm sometimes not.
if not consistant might be a bad coil, or like he said IACV. mine is the opposite won’t start cold runs fine warm, Just clean the IACV and put it back on.
Yea the coil makes sense. I forget, does the intake have to come off to get to the IACV?
probrably on the kade but not on my ka-e. not positive, it shouldnt be too bad
haynes manual perhaps?
He got a new coil from nissan, didnt change anything…
Maybe MAF? I am pretty sure it has to be electrical. ignition module? a relay?
coolant temp sensor for the ecu. i can gurantee it.

make sure u reset ur ecu after u change the temp sensor.
just disconnect the batt n tap the brakes
where is that temp sensor at? Its been 3 years since ive worked on a ka…

its on the intake down by where the lower coolant hose comes in from the rad.
dont be tricked. make sure its the 2 wire one. the one wire sensor is just for the gauge.
i belive they are like 20 bucks. it is the one wit the red clip on the t/stat housing
