You can still do this and not leave uncut zipties all over the place. It only takes an extra second and a pair of sidecutters. Damage should be fixed imho when possible. Competitive drift cars HAVE to maintain a good image. Notice all the D1/FD/USD/etc cars are ridiculously well taken care of and start off each round in near mint condition. Broken aero is fixed, dents are pulled, body panels are replaced and so on. Its in the contracts.

I think mark is trying to show its a bit of a bastardization of it. To make your car look like its just come back from D1GP when it hasnt.

Wait… So D1GP cars are really well taken care of, featuring no uncut zipties.

But our cars with uncut zipties, look like they’ve just come back from D1GP? But wait, they AREN’T well taken care of?

Doesn’t that seem like a contradiction?

I crash more than the dudes in D1 do, I’m not as good as them. But doesn’t the principal of having a car devoted to drifting have the same premise? My 180 is a drift car that I daily drive… it doesn’t look like its a d1 car, you’re right… but wouldn’t that look a bit ridiculous as a DD?
