240sxlover - I can understand how it can be easy to become frustrated by our attitutudes, however you’re not understanding the nature of these cars.
Most of them are beaten up to hell and rusted beyond belief. If you want to have a nice one and look at other nice ones, get an S14, most of those seem to be pretty well taken care of.
With the S13, it’s a very different story. The cars sell for very little, and they’re quite common, so they’re usually owned by the lowest common denominator (myself, really :D)
So, lets say for example my car. It needs a paintjob pretty bad, there’s scratches everywhere and tiny dings, and the rear of the car is flatblack, since the bumper’s paint has been weather worn, and my hatch used to be red, so I flat-blacked it. I’d like to paint my car, but I quite simply don’t have the money to. If I DID have the money, I would simply buy coilovers. If I still had money, I’d get swaybars, if I still had money, I’d get a non-hicas subframe and some aluminum bushings. You get the picture? Only if I had a very large sum of money would my car get a paintjob, and if I had a very large sum of money, I would just sell my car and get an FD or something. This is why very few people have nice S13s, and nothing you say or do can change that. They’re always gonna be owned by broke-ass punks that don’t care about making them look good.

240 like civic, they dont cost much, lots of parts available, parts are cheap, easy to make fast but its not like they ruin every gen like they do with the civic so dont worry about it lol

240 could never become the new civic. its not possible honda already released the new civic and its not a 240. but status wise no it wont happen because for 1 the car is discontinued so there isnt enough of them. and plus with the rust problems especially s13’s there just reducing in numbers. the 240 will become antinque before it becomes a civic status wise.

so roast your saying you love your car but you have no need to keep the car in good condition? im pretty sure most of the drivers i saw werent ever planning on taking it to a track any time soon. (Teens) the flat black one i saw looked like it was widebodied but had the stockies. some of the older users on this forum i know take care of their car, even if it may not look asthetically sound, but i am more directing this towards the younger drivers.

I’m 17 and the first place I took my 180 was the track, and plan on doing it all next season.

i belive the civic and the 240 are still different, where as the 240 mostly had people doing smart mods, where needed, either coilovers, engine work, fixing rust holes, and at the same times kids were ricing the civics, where as now, i have seen more riced 240’s around, and the civic si starting to become a clean ride, where people finally realized that rice is gay, and starting doing clean things.

Most people I know have clean Civics, that are either mint and slammed, or boosted.
Same with the 240 people I know too, I only saw one riced out 240, and he de-riced it, then crashed it

yeah everyone i know with a civic either has it to get from point a to point b or has riced the shit out of it… body kit, spoiler, carbon fiber hood, pearlecent paint… but i guess i dont know thta many civic ppl
