For the most part, that’s the least of your worries when you’re driving on a public road at that speed. You should be more worried about someone changing into your lane going 100km/h.

And ratings don’t mean much. For example, some tires will say that 50psi is the max pressure but you can push it to 70 or even more and still be fine. However, you don’t know what could happen if you left it at that pressure for a prolonged period of time.

i pumped up a tire with 300 treadwear rating that warned me not to exceed 35 psi to 80psi… lasted me 3 laps before it unwrapped itself from the belts. tire remained inflated.

I’m not saying it WILL happen, I’m saying it could, and if it did, ouch. I didn’t say its the main reason, I said it’s another reason going that speed is dangerous.
