i was in a similar boat once…had an NA version of a car that has a cooler tt brother…and got antsy. Dude…just realize that the car is NOT a good platform to work with…i was stupid to dump all the money i did when i coulda just bought a TT and saved myself a lot of time, money, hassle, frustration…etc…
Sell your car, and buy something that comes with a V8…there’s tons of fbods EVERYWHERE all the time…or, just buy a tt 3000GT…
If you want to do something cool…buy a blown RX7 (believe it or not…they do exist 
) and put a V8 in it…there’s writeups everywhere on how to make that work…and it’s a lot easier to take on a project when the information is readily available…
