OK, so I’m sick of running around on 10psi… time to up the boost… but I’m never one to do things half-assed so here it is:
I’m bringing Ash of AshSPECwww.ashspecz.com (THE 300zx GOD) to Buffalo to tune my car. It’s not going to be cheep, but he is IMO the BEST 300zx tuner in the country. Anyone who knows about Zs knows about Ash’s work.
So if you want your car tuned, and tuned to the cars absolute peak, now would be the time to do it.
I’m shooting to have him here at the end of August.
Before I say the price, let me tell you what this includes - not only is he going to tune for pump and race gas, but he wants to take 2 days going over our cars himself to make sure they are up to their peak performance and work out any bugs. For those of you with cars that are not exactly running right, you have the opertunity to have one of the best 300zx techs in the world work on your cars!
His cost is $750 per car, $700 for just a pump tune. Remember, this does NOT include dyno time (which we would all split) and we would need to choose a dyno. This includes the 2 days of his trouble shooting.
I’d like to get at least 5 Zs in on this. He can get through 5 cars / tunes in one day so we would only need dyno time for that day.
So the whole process will take 3 days total, but your cars will be changed FOREVER.
Sounds like what my tuner does except he street tuned and I just drove to his MD shop instead of trying to get a bunch together for him to come here. Good luck with it JoSSh :tspry:
Funny you mention that Josh. My guy is in Florida too. But he has a shop still open in MD and he comes down there once in a while to toon. So I set aside a weekend to have him work his magic. Well worth the trip.
:word: You get what you pay for. My tuner did the same deal, took the car and looked it over real close. Fixed a few minor details he didnt like, then went to town and set up my blower and NOS tunes. 700 bucks later I couldnt be happier The car idles and drives like stock, but when you get on it then you instantly know whats under the hood :pimp:
I like things just as cheap as the next guy, but when it comes to things like tuning…does it really matter what it costs so long as the desired results are achieved.
Tuning is probably the most important step of all build processes. This is something that you go balls deep on and can make or break a setup.
There are just some things in life you just don’t argue with IMO. After all how much money is tied up in parts and labor in a car. It would be a shame to see that all wasted due to a novice tuner who charges low rates just to gain the customers.
I don’t know maybe I’m just from the old school of thought about doing it right the first time.
as much as i’d LOVE to, i can’t justify the money…not that the product/service isn’t worth it, but i can’t justify it given what i’m making, what other bills i have, and what other things/work my car NEEDS as opposed to something i would WANT (aka this tune)
sorry Josh, awesome idea, and i’d be down next year most likely, but i’ve still got a lot of stupid bugs to work out before it would even be worth my while…
ugh, this is what i need. now i need to come up with a spare grand to do it. any way i can talk to him before hand to see if i have to replace anything before he gets here (ie: injectors)?
