sweet that’s quick of ya! i like the idea of no bolts. that way i just have to remove the starter and press the plug in. it should be fine with a snug fit and gets bonded in. i’ll get you the diameters soon here.

would a groove for an o-ring be a pain in the nuts to add? (not model-wise, I know that’s easy…I mean for actually MAKING it)

DUDE. You might have ordered the wrong shocks…the ones pictured are eye-eye…I don’t remember checking, but isn’t your bike eye-clevis?

I checked google, and I’m pretty sure the bottom mount is a clevis…

well snug fit and bond fit require a different diameter. I’d go with bond in just because there is more room for error. Hell, I bet RTV would work to hold it in. I’ll make the plug .015" ish smaller than the diameter you give me. I also found a piece of thick plexiglass that I could make one out of. Then you can polish it and it might be see-through

I could do an o-ring groove if you find something you want to use that we can get a dimension from. I’d just cnc the pocket then turn the o-ring grove while holding onto the not-tapered side then flip it and taper it. If you bond it in then you won’t need an o-ring, though.

fml, with the shocks!

RTV should do the trick

Bars came in today, took a few mins to put em on.

front end is lowered about 1/2"

Got a few things done yesterday. I went to Jo-Ann fabrics with my ma to pick up supplies to make the cushion for the seat. Picked up some thin black vinyl, bright red strong thread and high density foam. Once the seat pan is finished being shaped, I’ll be starting on the cushion.

I also grabbed this old Bell helmet that used to be my dads from my parents house haha

Today my dad brought over the welder him and my brother bought me for xmas. He also gave me a 3ft bottle of shielding gas full

Then he helped me set it up and on I went practicing for a little bit

On a bad note (well it could have been worse) we took the head off my civic and found a valve with a chunk missing out of it :frowning:

bike has come an awful long way in just a week’s time…

Those headlight ears going to work out? Let’s see some update pics!

nope lol. We decided it’s best to spend the $15-20 to just get some universal ears for 33mm fork tubes and go that route. The rearsets however…will work like a damn dream on this thing. Spent some time sketching up how to get them mounted/working, nick has to order some stuff for mounts and linkages, but otherwise they’ll work sweet.

last night all we got done besides brainstorming the rearsets was cut some things off the frame and made an electronics/battery tray panel and welded it on the frame.

Cool, sounds good. I need to get some on order as well.

Here is the plate we decided to go with instead of the box for tbe electronics.

It will have more clearance being a plate on top of the frame.

I have to order 1" coped bungs to weld on the frame to mount the rear sets. I will be out in the garage later messing around with a few things. Oh I still need to get the measurements for the starter delete plug.

Stopped at buffalo rv on he way home from work and picked up this little battery, $22. And then when I got home my shocks came in. I have a few ideas how to mount them at the bottom, with them being an eye instead of clevis.

I am really really interested in what you come up with for the starter delete plug. I will NOT be using my starter at all.

see post 13 and 20

I can’t seem to view the links in the don thread, and i’m still curious to see what you come up with. Looking forward to it, and maybe afterwords we can take a look at mine!

weird. but yea, we can take a look at it!

Probably the work firewall. I’ll check it out later at home.

new battery compared to old

added another piece for the electronics panel

I ordered these 1" coped bungs from lowbrow this afternoon for mounting the rear sets.

Damn dude your doing work.

error 404: dimensions not found.

go to HF and get a $20 pair of digital calipers. you should have a set anyways.

Hell yea dude, I’m trying to get this done, got a few other projects in line already haha

My bad lol, Nick is going to bring his calipers over next time he comes over and we’ll get he measurements!
