93 240sx

hey guys wuts happenin, new to this site, i just picked up a 240 last week black on leather fully loaded everything, some ppl said something about the super hicas and i should disengage it or something? how is this possible and what does it do thanks in advance:cool:

You can do it the proper way and buy a lock kit for it or you can “loop” the lines (this can however cause problems if the rear wheels are not straight)…When you disengage it, it will stop the back wheels from turning (HICAS is a form of 4 wheel steering) some say it’s better not to have it if you are drifting…it is good in the winter though.

oh alright thanks man, but ya i gotta see wuts up with the front end, seems to be vibrating alot, and feels a little lose, im guessing that they better fix the problem cause it cannot pass certification like that

what do you mean is shaking like ur wheels or somthing? might just need an alignment/balancing

ya thats what i thought it needs alignment but i think it needs more then that, like it shakes alot at high speeds vibrations, and it feels loose when u hit a bump, i gotta get it checked out, any1 kno any good nissan techs ?? private local shops

wow that sounds scary, check your tire thread, get your tires balanced all four (get new rubber instead also?), and check all bushings… perhaps your toe settings are pooey and your bushings are gone kaboom resulting in scary bump steer.

ya its fuked up but i got it checked out , and it was the tie rod, i dont know how i fucked it up but oh well didnt pay for it anyways

hahah I was going to say, Just take it into s shop for a good Shake down and see what is loose.

good question :H…does anyone know of any certified shops in toronto that specialize in nissans/imports for mechanical/electrical/body/whatever???
