Widebody stuff mocked up, have to do some serious cutting to mount the rear stuff on, should be working on that and finishing the wiring up over the next few days. Engine plans are progressing and will hopefully be ready to go in the car for manifold mockup in a few weeks.

Looks hideous  gonna look amazing finished!

I canā€™t wait for you to bring this upā€¦

Mmmmm Mpd so hot right now.

is that a 10" wide wheel hiding under the back?

Actually thatā€™s a 12" under there right now in those photos.

siq

Still on pace to see it N/A this year?

Itā€™ll be out with a Turbo 16v this year.

Thatā€™s what I like to hear. Still before Newman?

Heā€™s working on it right now in our garage. Christian, that is.

Will the 951 be completed by spring/summer?

do you forsee anything being an issue?

super cool project. worth reading thru 17 pages!
Canā€™t wait to see it done.

GL

Holy christ those tt/gt2 wheels look tiny under the widebody flares

951 will be out this spring if all goes well. But how many times have I said that.

The ONLY real issues are going to be the twin radiator mounting, and the custom exhaust manifold (Tim @ Speedforce Racing is doing half, then Iā€™m going to tack the other half together and have someone local weld it up, Matt, Lee, or Joe. I havent actually talked to any of them about it though).

Did all the cutting, drilling and measuring (not in that order!) and got the fronts mounted up in a couple hours.

I was literally standing there saying ā€œThis is either the stupidest or craziest thing Iā€™ve ever done to my car.ā€

Rear (just driverā€™s side) mocked up. Finally got to figure out what Iā€™m going to do for rear wheels, which will be 18x12 ET 0  The front fenders were specifically mounted a touch wide to allow venting through the rear of them for both hot air from the brakes and the radiators which will be venting to the wheel wells.

You = My hero

Hot. Maybe get some mesh in the front fender gap so it looks intentional?

Yeah, will help keep rocks from getting kicked up into the passenger cabin too. Probably not a bad idea.

i dont like the front fender gapā€¦ sorry
