no you cant just let it out. It will cause problems. Do you know the consequences for allowing the escape of a refrigerant? 300g’s and a max 3yr prison sentence. Just because you are allowed to buy refrigerant in limited quantities at a store without a lisence doesnt mean you are exempt to the rules. If you want A/C take it to a shop and have it recovered properly, fix the leak and then recharge.
if its a closed system and you lose the gas where do you think its going? do you think just putting more in will solve the problem? cmon now.
pressure test with N2 and find the leak before you charge. not to mention your not even pulling a vacuum, so regardless it aint gonna last long.
the thing is, my a/c system can only take like 18oz of actual refridgerant, and put in 18oz of leak stopper and Lube, which, well filled up the line. So what i need to do now is release all that stuff out so i can put the actual freon in. my lines aren’t leaking, cause when i tried to put more into it, it didn’t even take a sip of the freon.
i guess i should bring it to a shop to take the gas out, just for saftey reasons. but i’m putting the stuff back in my self, cause if i can do this to three cars already, without problems (they didn’t put the lube in) i can do it again
