my heat/defroster is basically not working as of late. it blows air out at all speed settings, but it isnt hot unless its on the lowest setting (and even then its not as hot as it should be). some guys on the ZR2forum told me the the heater core is probably plugged up. they said to disconnect the radiator hose and spray into the core w/ a garden hose to clear it up and it should work. i was wondering if anyone else has heard of this. i wanted to hear a few othre opinions before i go out and do that this weekend. i dont want to go through that if it isnt gonna work. any suggestions/opinions/advice?
dex-cool sucks have it flused & change raditoir cap,they have a recall on the cap i think!
when they flush the coolant, will that flush the core enough to fix the heater? i guess my coolant is somewhat beat…but ive seen worse. there isnt much residue in my overflow.
